- UK Residential Property - The Government has decided to tax the capital gains of non-residents (previously tax free). Fortunately, only gains arising after April 2015 are taxed and there are things you can do to reduce the sting.
- Non-Domiciled Individuals - From 6 April 2017 a big package of tax reforms is being introduced. These are fully covered in the guide. Non Doms will still enjoy significant tax savings despite the changes.
- Statutory Residence Test - This new test makes it much easier to work out if you are non-UK resident and therefore able to enjoy special tax treatment.
- Temporary non-residence - The rules have been changed, which will affect those who want to realize tax-free capital gains or pay themselves big tax-free dividends or pension lump sums while temporarily non-resident.
