Real Estate Law in China is intended to be an introduction to the real estate law in China for enterprises with foreign investment, foreign companies and individuals.

The book traces the three-stage development of the PRC land and property system, from 1949 to the present state where land is granted or transferred to land users for consideration and for a fixed term.

It explains the procedures for carrying out a property development project in China, starting from the establishment of a foreign investment real estate enterprise, through planning, design and construction, moving on to sale and leasing of uncompleted/completed buildings and culminating with the management of completed buildings.

Also covered are financing for foreign investment real estate enterprises and projects, real property intermediary services, taxation issues and property related dispute settlement.
