A detailed look at risk identification and quantification in equity investment

Equity Value Enhancement ("EVE"): Governance, Risk, Relationships & Knowledge ("GRRK")provides the information and tools practitioners and business owners need to work with the multitude of intangibles ("GRRK") in equity investment decisions. A user-friendly manual for understanding and mastery of business value drivers, this book teaches you how to provide more due diligence to a valuation as well as what decisions and behaviors impact value. With more effective methods of risk identification, measurement, management, and mitigation ("IMMM"), trusted advisors and owners can establish a "working on the business" strategy to prioritize issues impacting a company's intangible assets. This serves to reduce risk and elevate equity value. The discussion focuses less on how to apply valuation approaches and methodology and more on leveraging human capital and operational effectiveness. This book challenges the industry to demand greater intellectual rigor and more due diligence to assist the United States' economic engine—the midmarket company. Therefore, practitioners are challenged to look beyond the numbers, as well as rely less on formulaic approaches and on software to generate opinions that are often spurious. A favorable spin unveils the immense opportunity and incentive to delve deeper and become more engaged to create better business decisions and provide better evidence of value relied upon by regulatory bodies and the judiciary.

Trillions of dollars of private equity are changing hands as Baby Boomers seek greater liquidity and investors seek returns where fewer institutions change the rules that penalize retail investors. This book provides guidance toward handling risk where most investment decisions exist, giving you better insight into more effective equity valuation.

    • Provide better evidence of value
    • Identify and quantify risk
    • Inform better business decisions
    • Create a true valuation for equity investments
    • Roadmap for enhancement of going concern value

Risk management is a hot topic in today's economic environment, and the role it plays in equity valuation cannot be overstated. To identify risk and work with it effectively, practitioners need an in-depth understanding of the forces at play. Equity Valuation is a detailed, insightful guide for making better equity investment decisions.
