Statutory Interpretation responds to a recognized need for students to have improved skills in statutory interpretation. The aim is to bring statutory interpretation, currently viewed by many students as a necessary evil, to a living, breathing, dynamic tool for understanding and applying the law.

Readership: Undergraduate law students studying a discrete statutory interpretation subject (an elective in later years) or a compulsory introduction to law subject in first or second year where statutory interpretation is a large component of the subject.

Michelle Sanson, Senior Lecturer in Law, University of Western Sydney, Australian

Michelle Sanson is a Senior Lecturer in Law, and First Year Advisor at University of Western Sydney. She is also on the Executive of the Australasian Law Teachers Association (ALTA); is Associate Director of the New South Wales Centre for Legal Education; Editor in Chief of the Legal Education Review; Associate Editor for the Legal Education Digest; and serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of the Australasian Law Teachers Association, the Academic Board of JMC Academy and the Academic Board of the Australian International Conservatorium of Music.
