The first standard reference on civil procedure in Hong Kong, Hong Kong Civil Court Practice provides a comprehensive commentary on Hong Kong civil litigation in two looseleaf volumes across six binders.

Hong Kong Civil Court Practice Volume 1 is the original reference work on the rules of the High Court, having first published in 1994. The commentary in this work reflects the seven years of Hong Kong’s experience since the civil justice reforms which were implemented in April 2009. The focus is, and will continue to be, on decisions of the Hong Kong courts. Volume 2 of this work contains commentaries, annotations, forms and a complete reference to the High Court Ordinance, Court of Final Appeal Ordinance, District Court Ordinance, Rules of the District Courts, Family Courts as well as the Practice Directions. Written by leading Hong Kong practitioners and academics under the editorship of WS Clarke and PY Lo, this publication serves as both a localisation and interpretation for Hong Kong of information previously found only in English sources, greatly simplifying the practice of civil litigation in Hong Kong. Relevant extracts are taken from our sister publication in the UK, The Civil Court Practice, Editor-in-Chief Lord Neuberger of Abbotsbury (House of Lords and non-permanent judge of the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal). This publication is updated throughout the year to include the latest relevant legislation and cases, and serves as an essential tool for every Hong Kong litigation lawyer.

It will also incorporate the amendments
