Dr Gerry Bates is a leading specialist in environmental law and policy, and Adjunct Professor at the University of Sydney. He teaches at the University of Sydney and the University of NSW. He is a former board member of the NSW Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water and former Director of Kimbriki Environmental Enterprises, a regional landfill and waste recovery centre on Sydney’s northern beaches. Dr Bates has published extensively in the area and is editor-in-chief of the Environment and Planning Law Journal.
