This book not only focuses on the comparative dispute settlement mechanism adopted by China and India but also provides a road map for establishing an effective, efficient and practical dispute settlement mechanism by other Asian countries in their Free Trade Agreements (FTAs). Some new ideas proposed in the book can help reform the dispute settlement mechanism universally. This book is also a small and humble attempt to attract the attention of policy makers and negotiators to pay special attention on dispute settlement mechanism otherwise the benefits of FTA may go in vain.
